Thrive for Life Prison Project

New York University Prison Education Program have partnered with Thrive for Life Prison Project to provide stable transitional housing for NYU PEP students who have recently returned home. In June of 2019, the organization built three multi-story houses located in The Bronx, called “Ignacio House”, to offer holistic and community-centered housing to formerly incarcerated students. Currently, 5 of our students are living at Ignacio.

In just this month, we’ve been able to provide housing for students that were otherwise facing time in a shelter. We are excited for their growth and nearly one-year of collaboration together.
